Abstract:
Proteins carry out almost all physiological processes inside a cell. Faithful and accurate execution of every cellular process requires precise control over the timing and location of proteins that execute that particular process. But how is the temporal control of spatial localization of proteins achieved inside cells? What happens to this control mechanism when the cell is challenged, say, during an infection? These are some of the questions that our lab is excited about and keen to discuss in this talk.

About the Speaker:
Anup is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Ashoka University. His lab’s interests primarily revolve around understanding how living cells regulate their shape during development and disease. He teaches Cell Biology, Microbiology,  Force & Motion in Biological Systems, and Seminar Series in Biological Sciences.
