About the Speaker: Rahul Bose has excelled in the three fields he inhabits – cinema, rugby and non-profit. 

Described as the ‘Indian art house icon’, by TIME magazine, Rahul won the Filmfare Award 2021 for his performance in the Netflix series, ‘Bulbbul’. This past year he has worked in five films and a major series, to be released in theatres and on streaming platforms from March 2023 onwards. A former international rugby player, Rahul represented India for eleven years, retiring from the Indian team in 2009. He is the President of the Indian Rugby Football Union (Rugby India) as well as on the Executive Committee of the Asia Rugby Football Union. Formed in 2006, his NGO, ‘The Foundation’, works with children from under served areas of India, and his second NGO, HEAL, works on the prevention of child sexual abuse. In 2009 he was voted the Indian Youth Icon of the Year – Social Justice and in 2010, the Green Globe award for his work on climate change.
