The workshop will cover the basics of writing object labels and preparing catalogues for museums and exhibitions. It will engage with the discourse on museum labels within India and around the globe, provenance studies, and whether museum labels can be considered as 'objective truths' or 'politically correct'. These questions are relevant to the disciplines of history, art history, archaeology, museology, visual studies, heritage studies, and  many trans-disciplinary fields.
