About the Workshop: Rachana will be delivering an interactive workshop on how to develop an impact-focused portfolio. Teams will be given a selection of investments with the goal of constructing a balanced portfolio across geography, product, ticket size, duration, development impact indicators, and of course returns.
All those who register will be given a case study which they can go through before the session.
Rachana Ramchand is an impact investing professional with over a decade of experience in international development, venture capital & private equity, entrepreneurship, and technology.
Rachana's impact investing journey began at Asha Impact, a pioneering social venture capital firm, where she played a pivotal role as the first employee. After her MBA at INSEAD, Rachana then transitioned to the UK government's development finance institution, British International Investment (BII). During her three-year tenure with the Catalyst and SME Funds team, she played a key role in investing in intermediaries, funds, and co-investments across South Asia and Africa. Since 2022, Rachana has been an Investment Manager in the CIO's Office. In this role, she spearheads BII's co-investment program while also managing the organisation's investment processes and decision-making.
