Bringing Parent Expertise to Campus | 15–16 August 2026

During the August Move-in weekend, Priyanca Bhatia, a parent of an incoming student and a Top 14 contestant on MasterChef India Season 1, brought her culinary experience to campus through a Fireless Cooking Workshop for students. The session brought students together over food, creativity and a shared hands-on experience.

The engagement continued the following day with a MasterChef-style student competition, where Priyanca was joined by Guneet Kaur, a second-year Ashoka parent associated with Big Momma’s Kitchen, as judges. The parents shared their experience, feedback and encouragement as students presented their creations.

The two-day engagement offered a lovely example of how parents can bring their interests and expertise into the Ashoka community and contribute to student experiences beyond the classroom.
