“As my academic journey at Ashoka comes to an end, I feel nostalgic thinking about my wholesome time at the University, full of interesting learnings and wonderful friendships.
The Office of Learning Support (OLS) played a crucial role in my growth and development at Ashoka. Their support, including the provision of extra time to submit my assignments and having a note-taker to help me keep up with my class, made a significant difference. It allowed me to focus on learning and engaging in discussions rather than worrying about taking down notes, which has always been a difficult task for me due to my slow typing speed.
While I received many opportunities at the University to expand my horizons, one of the key lessons I’ve learned is effective time management. Ashoka’s rigorous academic environment taught me how to balance my studies with personal time, ensuring I not only excelled academically but also enjoyed my college experience.
Another major takeaway for me from Ashoka would be the art of advocacy. My journey here has strengthened my advocacy skills, both for myself and others. I’ve learned to navigate different scenarios and advocate effectively, empowering myself and contributing positively to the community.
As I step into the next chapter of my life, I carry with me not just a degree but a wealth of experiences and skills that will shape my future endeavours.
