Recent Projects / Grants

  • Dr. Manu Awasthi has recently received from SRC for the project titled, “Fast, Robust Energy –aware in Memory Computing Architecture”.
  • Dr. Meghna Agarwala has received SERB-POWER grant for the project titled, “Using past analogues to understand role of fire and climate change in Central India”.
  • Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, Director, Research and Development, Ashoka University, has been awarded the India Research Management Initiative (IRMI) grant by the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance.

Recent initiatives and Achievements

Ashoka University along with its distinguished faculty engages in research projects that can contribute to the betterment of academia and society at large. Some of the projects encompassing Ashoka’s research quintessence are listed below-

  • Prof. Gautam Menon is working on a project, titled: “Agent-based models for COVID-19 spread in India”, funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
  • Prof. Ashiwini Deshpande is working on a project, titled: “The Short-Term Effects of the Covid-19 Lockdown on rural communities and SHG members in particular”, funded by IGC India.
