Deputy Manager, Research and Development, Ashoka University

PhD Scholar, JNU, New Delhi

Aastha works as a Deputy Manager in the Research and Development Office. She works for the grant management vertical of RDO.  Her work involves liaising between Ashoka faculty and funding agencies , assisting the faculty in the pre-funding process and post-funding grant management.She also works as an IRB Administrator in Ashoka University.

 She is pursuing her PhD in literature titled, “Staging Masculinities: Alternate Spaces for the Male Dancers”, from Center for English Studies (CES), JNU, New Delhi. She has done her MPhil and Master’s in English literature from CES, JNU, New Delhi. Her research area includes  Gender and Sexuality, Performance Studies, Commonwealth Literature, Popular Culture, Korean Studies and Culture Studies, 

She has presented research papers in international and national conferences and her work has been published in edited volumes and international journals.

Before joining the Research and Development Office at Ashoka, Aastha has worked as a Research Associate in Center for Korean Studies, JNU, New Delhi. She has also worked as a course instructor for B.A Optional Courses in Center for English Studies, JNU. She has worked on a project as a Research Assistant with Lego India and Sesame Street.
