Abhishek believes that the three pillars of happiness are good relationships, a healthy lifestyle and an attitude of gratitude.
He studied Economics at Delhi University, where he was an Asian Parliamentary Debater and an NCC cadet. Now, he spends his spare time dabbling in philosophy, psychology, and a variety of sports. Before coming to the Young India Fellowship (YIF), he worked at a think tank for police reforms for over a year. He also used to volunteer at an NGO dedicated to education and healthcare for the deprived. Touched by the experience, he hopes to dedicate his life to public service.
Having lived in Delhi throughout, he hopes that the YIF will help him come out of his bubble and integrate with India at large. He feels that an interdisciplinary education will sharpen his thinking skills, deepen his empathy, and widen his understanding of the world. Abhishek is a keen vipassana practitioner and credits the habit for helping him cultivate resilience. He is also fond of mountains, ancient architecture, and high adrenaline activities.
