Abhishek Rai

Abhishek Rai completed his PhD in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. His primary research interests are in International Trade and Spatial Economics. Dr Rai’s current research explores the welfare and productivity implications of mobility of people (migration) and goods (trade) between locations using quantitative models which emphasize general equilibrium forces. He uses administrative micro-data to motivate, quantify, and validate these models. Dr Rai has an MA in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and BTech from Vellore Institute of Technology.
