Akshay Kundu read English at SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi (BA) and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi (MA). His areas of interest include psychoanalysis, gender and sexuality studies, phenomenology, and Modernist literature. He is currently reading contemporary Anglo American women writers such as Rachel Cusk, Ali Smith, and Maggie Nelson for the questions of subjectivity, sexual difference and experimental formalism. His research aims to grapple with the tenuous relationship between the intractability of desire and political agency in literary writing. He has published on Virginia Woolf and WB Yeats, and has a keen interest in the lyric and other poetic forms. He also dabbles in acrylic painting, gardening and designing book covers for fun.
