Akash Prakash is a director and the chief executive officer of Amansa Capital Pte. With extensive experience in the Indian securities markets, Akash leads the investment team. He also manages the overall market risk and acts as the chief investment officer for Amansa Funds’ investment portfolio.
Prior to founding Amansa Capital in 2006, Akash was Director of Investments, India for Temasek Holdings – the investment vehicle of the Government of Singapore. Before joining Temasek, Akash worked as a portfolio manager for the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), where he managed US, pan-Asian and Indian investment portfolios.
Akash also writes a fortnightly column for the Business Standard – one of India’s leading financial newspapers. In 2004, he was ranked amongst the top three by Indian corporates in Institutional Investor’s ‘Best of Buy-Side’ survey. He has an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad, and a bachelor’s degree from Bombay University.
