Anil Kumar Bahariya

YIF Class of 2023

BA (Sociology), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur

Hailing from the rural area of Rajasthan, Anil has always been keen on understanding the mechanisms of society. He likes reading about the mechanisms of power structures in society and their implications in a civil society. Other than these academic pursuits, he loves reading philosophical fiction. During the lockdown, he has taught in secondary schools and realised that it is something which gives him happiness. He enjoys debating and discussions about society and contemporary politics. In his leisure time, he writes Urdu poetry and aspires to be a fiction writer someday. He wishes to explore his interests and intends to make society a better place for marginalised people. The diversity and multidisciplinary aspects of the fellowship intrigued him a lot. He aspires to learn from his peers and faculty as much as he can in this one year.
