Anirudh’s research interests lie in the anthropology of finance, speculation and late capitalism. He works on tracing the transformations of space, technology, morals and social relations wrought by financial markets and their associated practices such as investment, trading, speculation and saving. His fieldwork focuses on the workings of non-banking financial technologies such as chit funds in Kerala.
