Ankita Rathore

Manager, Global Research Alliances, Ashoka University

Ankita is a science facilitator and administrator who has been involved in many initiatives across the scientific landscape in India and has worked with the larger community of science. After a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s in Toxicology, she transitioned from a lab bench to do a PhD in Science and Technology Communication from the National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), New Delhi. Before joining Ashoka, Dr. Ankita worked as an Associate Director at IndiaBioscience for over two years, where she managed the science communication and skill-building verticals. She coordinated and oversaw the implementation of ongoing projects while actively contributing to the growth and impact of India’s science ecosystem. Her professional journey spans academia and industry, with roles including Research Officer in Regulatory Toxicology at CIB-RC, Junior Research Fellow at INST Mohali, Assistant Manager – Operations, and Program Manager – Science Communication at IndiaBioscience.

Outside work, Ankita enjoys spending time with dogs—especially her dachshund—sipping coffee, reading (and hoarding books), and running. She is passionate about connecting with people from different fields of expertise and exploring cafés in every city she visits.
