Anoushka Ganjoo

YIF Class of 2021

B.A. Economics
Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi

Studying liberal arts was never a part of Anoushka’s plan. She has been focusing on streamlining her profile as much as possible and wants to master it. Going through her academic journey, studying economics at a premier institute, she realised that as much as it was necessary, it was far from sufficient.
When she came across the curriculum for Young India Fellowship (YIF), it struck her that she needs to do it in life in order to deem it to be complete. She also felt the need to be in an environment that promoted values other than materialism and elitism. Her bachelor’s gave her a chance to explore herself. She discovered dance to be her mode of expression and catharsis. Spending three years dancing to represent her college at various platforms gave her the exposure she needed. Being amongst creative mindsets has nudged her to diversify in and around reading, music, poetry, and cultures of various sorts. She needs YIF to push her in the direction she needs to grow to her fullest potential.
