Anshumaan is an empirical macroeconomist with research interests in monetary economics and international macroeconomics. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Warwick. His current work focuses on the impact of unconventional monetary policies, such as forward guidance, quantitative easing, and central bank communication, on the real and financial sectors in major developed economies. Since the Global Financial Crisis, these policies have become integral components of the central bank policy toolkit. Understanding their implications for the economy is an active area of research. In addition, he is also interested in understanding how agents form expectations about macroeconomic aggregates.
