B.S. Ajaikumar

B. S. Ajaikumar is a leading radiation and medical oncologist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the Founder and Chairman of Healthcare Global Enterprises (HCG), one of India’s largest cancer care networks. After completing his medical training at St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, he pursued advanced oncology training at the University of Virginia Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States.

In 2003, he returned to India with a vision to make high-quality cancer care accessible and affordable across the country. Under his leadership, HCG pioneered advanced oncology care models and introduced cutting-edge technologies such as CyberKnife™ and precision diagnostics to the Indian healthcare ecosystem.

Beyond HCG, Ajaikumar is actively engaged in healthcare education, impact investing, and philanthropy through initiatives such as Global Healthcare Academy and Inviga. Through multiple non-profit initiatives, he has also supported cancer patients, women’s empowerment, education, and rural development initiatives across Karnataka. His contributions to healthcare and entrepreneurship have been recognised through several prestigious honours, including the Ernst & Young Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
