Bidisha Mukherjee is a dedicated and aspiring researcher currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Department of Physics at Ashoka University. She joined the university in September 2022 and has been working under the guidance of Dr. Garima Mishra. Bidisha completed her Master’s degree in Physics from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute in 2021, following her Bachelor’s degree in Physics (Honors) from Kazi Nazrul University (West Bengal) in 2019.
Her research interests revolve around the fascinating fields of Soft Matter Physics, Statistical Physics, and Biophysics, with a specific focus on Bio-polymers. Bidisha’s work encompasses both computational and theoretical approaches to advance the understanding of these domains. Currently, she is engrossed in the statistical modeling of DNA, exploring the intricacies of its behavior and properties.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Bidisha finds solace and joy in the realms of art. She is passionate about Odissi classical dancing and painting.
