Citi India, established in 1902, is a private sector bank and a subsidiary of Citigroup, a multinational financial services company. Citi Foundation, the global philanthropic arm of Citigroup, began its grant giving in India in 1999 to support economically disadvantaged families by way of enterprise development, youth education and livelihoods, financial capability and asset building, and microfinance.
