An engineering graduate hailing from Perambalur, one of the remote places in central Tamilnadu, Dhayanithi’s life entered into a new phase when he decided to prepare for the UPSC examination. He was thrown into his old lifestyle where intellect and curiosity was the driving force behind every action and a constant search for self-improvement led to a leap of growth and development in his life chart a decade ago. He felt that being forced into a mark churning education system at both high school and college, he somehow lost his ability to reason and develop himself internally. But his preparation for UPSC led him to the realisation of the issues and struggles the society and the nation is going through at large and his 16 years of education has brought him nowhere near to those problems. His experience during his UPSC days led him to realise that his future should be built on the social sector. And Young India Fellowship with its multidisciplinary approach and wide pool of peer to peer learning opportunities sounded a perfect destination for his search for real education. He hopes to learn, grow and develop into a better self in this wonderful journey.
