Dibyangee grew up in a nuclear family as a shy and introverted person. As a teenager she discovered that she felt the most comfortable expressing herself through poetry. At age 19, she published her first anthology titled, ‘Hither and Thither’. After completing her B.A. when she proceeded to pursue her masters in English, she felt restricted within the high walls of academia. During this time she freelanced as a columnist at The Telegraph, assisted leading journalist, Shoma Chaudhury on her web show, and taught rural children under the United Nations Volunteers Program.
In the near future, Dibyangee aspires to straddle the line between academia and activism and make the two more inclusive spaces.
