Soibam Shyamchand Singh

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Psychology and Cognitive Sciences

S. S. Singh was always intrigued by the complexity of human thought processes and their underlying regularity. After an MSc in theoretical physics, this curiosity led him to pursue his PhD in computational neuroscience. His research explores system-level brain organisation using graph theory and dynamical systems approaches. He has investigated the universal scaling laws governing brain networks, and through fMRI and behavioural studies, he has shown how audiovisual illusion is connected to brain functional connectivity patterns. His current research focus is on understanding the influence of heritability on the geometric arrangement of brain regions, analysing large-scale imaging and genetic data to uncover the inherited blueprints of brain organisation.”
