Elloit Cardozo

M.A. (Honours with Research) in English, University of Mumbai

Elloit graduated with a master’s dissertation comparing Albert Camus’ Absurdist thought and Dudeism as countercultural worldviews.

Besides working in undergraduate teaching, language training, and curriculum development, he has spent time researching Indian Hip-Hop cultures. His work on the subject has been funded by institutes such as The University of Hong Kong, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, and Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute.

Through his time working in the field, Elloit developed a profound appreciation for interdisciplinary collaborations and embodied knowledges. These values inform his commitment to help students at CWC craft pieces of compelling yet conscientious academic writing without compromising their authentic authorial voices. He also provides English language support at the Centre.

Elloit’s writing appears in venues such as The Oxford Handbook of Modern Indian Literatures, The Cambridge Companion to Global Rap, Global Hip Hop Studies, and Economic & Political Weekly.
