She serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Niva Bupa Health Insurance, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Home First Finance, and IIMA Ventures.
Recognising the growing gap in universities’ abilities and inclination to commercialise research, Geeta recently co-founded Translation Endeavours—an initiative designed to help universities establish early-stage deep-tech venture funds that strengthen their research and incubation ecosystems.
Geeta spent over 18 years at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in several leadership roles in India and globally. She led the India office of the foundation from 2018-2024. Prior to MSDF, she worked for 12 years in Corporate Finance at PwC, advising global clients on M&A, valuations, and strategic partnerships.
An alumna of IIM Ahmedabad and Lady Shri Ram College, Geeta is a founding member and former Chair of the Impact Investors Council of India and has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s ecosystem for inclusive finance, education, and women’s economic empowerment. She has been recognised by Forbes India and Business Today among the 20 most influential women in impact.
