Prof. Geeta Trilok-Kumar is the Senior Faculty Fellow in the Koita Centre for Digital Health (KCDH-A) at Ashoka university. She did her graduation from Miranda House, University of Delhi, her Masters from University of Guelph, Canada on a full fellowship, and PhD jointly from AIIMS and Delhi University in 2002. Subsequently she went to London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for her Post-doctoral work on a Commonwealth Fellowship. She currently holds the prestigious Wellcome Trust-DBT Senior Fellowship in Public Health and is a Fellow of Delhi School of Public Health, Institute of Eminence, University of Delhi. She also received a ‘Special Appreciation Award’ from Delhi University for her research contribution in 2021.
Prof. Trilok-Kumar in the last twenty years post her PhD has received several large National and International grants. She is the recipient of grants from Medical Research Council, UK; Nutrition Tier Monde, Brussels,; Sight and Life, Switzerland; UGC-UKIERI thematic partnership from British Council, UK; UGC-New Zealand Research Council grant, as well as large grants from Indian funders like DBT, ICMR, to name a few. She currently has grants from Wellcomtrust-DBT and Medical Research Council, UK as well as a large grant from DBT. Her work has been published in prestigious scientific high impact journals like British Medical Journal and Lancet Endocrinology. Prof Geeta Trilok-Kumar was the Director of Institute of Home Economics until November 2022. She has served and continues being a member of several Task forces, project review boards Scientific Advisory Committees, Governing bodies and other committees of government of India.
