Harish Shah is the Founder and Managing Director of Signet Excipients Pvt Ltd. Signet was started in the year 1986, and is today India’s leading pharmaceutical raw materials distribution company. In 2020, Signet became a part of IMCD N.V, a large multinational company from the Netherlands.
Signet Capital Pvt Ltd is the the family office company that invests across diverse asset classes.
The Shah family’s philanthropic foundation is the Harish and Bina Shah Foundation, which has been operational since 2002. It works on several mainstream social issues such as education, health and livelihoods, to emerging topics such as gender equity, arts and culture.
Harish Shah is joined by his son-in-law, John Firth on the Board of Trustees. John graduated with a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Development Economics and is currently teaching at the University of Oxford. In the family foundation, John plays an active role on various initiatives, ranging from grants made to educational institutions, to non-profits working across India on various causes.
