Hemansi works as the Deputy Manager at the Research and Development office at Ashoka University. Her work involves managing the orders for lab supplies, and equipment by collaborating with the Ashoka faculties and ensuring the smooth run of the labs. Also, she liaises between faculties and vendors for technical-related concerns.
She has submitted her PhD thesis in Microbiology in 2021 and will soon be defending the same. She completed her Masters in Medical Biotechnology from the Centre for Medical Biotechnology, Maharshi Dayanand University and Bachelors in Microbiology from University of Delhi. She was awarded the Bioenergy Award for cutting edge research (B-ACER) in 2019 that led her to work in the United States as a visiting scientist. The award conferred by Indo-US science and technology forum (IUSSTF), Department of Science and technology (DST), GoI goes to the top six doctoral candidates in India in the aspects of biofuel and bioenergy. Her research work has been published in various reputed journals, like Renewable Energy, Biochemical engineering journal, International journal of Biological macromolecules others (Google Scholar)
