Dr Henrik Syse is a Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Oslo New University College. He served as Head of Corporate Governance at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), which manages Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, from 2005 to 2007, and as Vice Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee from 2017 to 2020. His research and writing span ethics, philosophy, peace and conflict, corporate responsibility, responsible investment, and international affairs. He is a widely published author and one of Norway’s leading public intellectuals on ethics, global governance, and responsible leadership.
