44th Maharawal (King) of Jaisalmer since 2020, head of the Bhati clan of Rajputs, and 44th descendant of Rawal Jaisal, who founded the kingdom in 1156 AD. He studied politics at SOAS, University of London, after schooling at Sanskriti School, New Delhi. He is the director of Polstrat Communications Pvt. Ltd., and director of Citta Education Foundation India, and also chairs the Girdhar Smark Dharmath Nyas Trust, which runs the Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum. Actively engaged in agriculture, water conservation, education, and heritage restoration, with a strong focus on sustainable development and cultural preservation, including efforts to digitise and archive traditional folk music of the region. Advocate for youth engagement in shaping global challenges; helped establish the city-to-city twinning agreement between Jaisalmer and Carcassonne, France, in 2025.
