Jasmin comes from a place where she was exposed to gender bias and conventional methods of choosing a career at a young age. Having enjoyed various subjects, dancing, and sports, she could never identify that ‘dream’ career for herself like her peers could. At the age of seventeen, she knew that she didn’t want to pursue science. Her inclination towards social sciences made her opt for economics for her undergraduate studies. The quest for learning more through different subjects attracted her towards the YIF. The thrill of doing something unique drives her. Apart from pondering over issues related to development, she enjoys reading books of different genres and watching anime. She derives immense pleasure by rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need.
