Jerry Rao is the chairman of Value and Budget Housing Corporation (VBHC). Prior to VBHC, Jerry founded and operated Mphasis Corporation, a software company based in California. Prior to setting up Mphasis, Jerry was with Citibank where he spent twenty years.
He has been chairman of NASSCOM and the NASSCOM Foundation. He is a trustee of Sujaya Foundation and the chairman of the Indian Foundation for Arts. Jerry is also a visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Loyola College, IIM Ahmedabad and University of Chicago. Jerry has a great interest in the preservation and promotion of history and the arts.
