John Firth joins Harish Shah in representing the Harish and Bina Shah on the Board of Trustees.
John is currently Director, Global Health and Development at Rethink Priorities, a research and implementation group. He previously taught at the University of Oxford, where he was associated with the Global Priorities Institute. John has also taught at the University of Notre Dame, and held research appointments at Centre for Global Development and J-PAL.
John graduated with a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Development Economics. At the Harish and Bina Shah Foundation, he plays an active role on various initiatives, ranging from grants made to educational institutions, to non-profits working across India on various causes.
