Jyotirmoy Talukdar teaches the Academic Bridge Programme and English Communication courses at Ashoka University. As part of the CWC team at Ashoka, he has also conducted writing workshops at Gauhati University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and other institutions. His own research was conducted under the supervision of the linguist Dr Hany Babu and his dissertation looked at the standardization of languages. He writes news and opinion articles for various English and Assamese publications, including The Wire, OPEN, The Hindu, and HuffPost India. His first book of translation was published in 2021. Jyotirmoy has also been a Visiting Faculty in the Department of Performing Arts at the university. He holds a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification.
