Kajal is a Bharatanatyam dancer with a background in History. She holds a Bachelors from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and a Masters from Department of History, University of Delhi. Her passion for history and dance has led her to explore the interconnections between the two and she has presented this research at national and international conferences. She has previously worked at the Ministry of Culture to link cultural activities with education and has also been involved in documenting family histories for a publishing house. Kajal enjoys reading poetry and spends her free time exploring monuments and visiting museums. Through the YIF, she hopes to broaden her perspectives by exploring new subjects, meeting new people and developing skills that would allow her to navigate the ever changing world.
