Kewal was born in the Malwa region of Punjab. He is presently working for hygienic menstrual solutions and gender awareness via Yuhwe in rural areas of punjab. Yuhwe aims to install sanitary pad vending machines and incinerators in every public toilet of Punjab. He is also part of awareness programs of Yuhwe around the right of hygienic menstrual solutions for all menstruating genders. Through his undergraduate studies in social sciences and his graduate degree in law, he has tried to understand the socio-economic and cultural aspects of society. He has a great sense of empathy and commitment towards those who were constantly and systematically oppressed and marginalized on the basis of their gender, class and caste etc.
