Mahima Mukhija is an economist specializing in microeconomic theory, behavioural economics, and experimental economics. Her research investigates decision-making under incomplete information, focusing on how frictions such as procrastination, inattention, and bias shape behavior and interact with information constraints. By combining theoretical frameworks with empirical methods, her work delivers practical insights to improve policy design, industry strategies, and institutional decision-making.
She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Ashoka University, a Master’s in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. She advanced her research career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
She has teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, acquired as an assistant professor at JIIT, Noida.
