Maitree Dasgupta is Director of Global Education and Strategic Programs (GESP) at Ashoka University. She brings in 15 years’ experience in global engagement, building partnerships and communications in the higher education and sustainability sector. Her strengths lie in building long-term relationships with partners, developing and managing multi-stakeholder programs and leading intercultural teams.
Prior to joining Ashoka University, Maitree worked with the Swiss Governments’ Science diplomacy outpost Swissnex in India as the head of University Partnerships. She has a Master’s degree in Zoology with a specialization in Environmental Biology and Toxicology from the University of Calcutta and a post-graduate diploma in Environmental Law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
