Mark Fedyk

Visiting Associate Professor of Philosophy, Ashoka University

Ph.D. Cornell University

Mark Fedyk is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Mount Allison University, and a Research Associate at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.  He graduated from the Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University in 2009, and has since taught at a variety of universities around the world.

Dr. Fedyk’s research and publications both focus on topics at the intersection of the cognitive sciences, the social sciences, and the nature of normativity.  For example, his recently published book The Social Turn in Moral Psychology (MIT Press, 2017) examines the way in which moral psychology may benefit from a deeper integration with the social sciences, and it explores how ethical theory can facilitate this integration.
