Moumita is a Deputy Manager at the Data Science department and closely attached with the Centre for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at Ashoka University. She is supporting the centre with all the administration work.
She specialises in Biological Anthropology. Since 2017, she was in Toronto, Canada and worked on multiple budgetary projects for Loblaws Companies Ltd. (Canadian Supermarket chain) as a data analyst.
She was a research associate in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata and has 9+ years of experience in data analysis and data processing. She is proficient in handling, generating, and managing data. She led the research team for numerous different projects mapping, supporting, and validating with questionnaires for the projects, implementing the research design and instruments. She is experienced and handy with statistical software like SPSS, R, SQL, Python and well versed in both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Prior to ISI, she worked in Anthropological Survey of India and served for national sustainable projects as a Biostatistician and Biological Anthropologist. She also served as a guest faculty at Bidhannagar Govt. College. Other than that, she was engaged as a freelancer with various other projects as a lead analyst.
