Mukundan is Research Assistant at the Centre for Digitalisation, AI and Society where he studies privacy practices in large-scale digital public infrastructure like India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI). His past affiliations include internships at Dalberg Advisors (where he was part of multiple engagements that supported the creation of digital public goods for systemic social impact), Teach for India and an undisclosed financial technology unicorn in India. He was a UNAI-MCN Millennium Fellow in 2021.
Mukundan holds a BA (Hons.), summa cum laude, in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Ashoka University. He is currently pursuing a year-long political theory project about technology in India’s public life as part of the Ashoka Scholars Program.
