Nabajyoti obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Presidency University, Kolkata in 2016 and 2018 respectively. His research interests lie in the history of political categories in the British Empire. The primary concern of his thesis is to write a history of the category of “tribe” and its role of its evolution in the creation and administration of the North Eastern Frontier of the British Empire in the 19th and early 20th century. He was a graduate assistant in Ashoka University during the Monsoon semester of 2019. His linguistic abilities include English, Hindi, Bangla, Asomiya, and basic German.
