Naintara

Ph.D. Physics

Naintara is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Physics at Ashoka University under the supervision of Professor Susmita Saha. She completed her Master’s in Physics from the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, where she built a strong foundation in theoretical and simulation of condensed matter physics.

Before beginning her doctoral journey, she joined Ashoka University in June 2024 as a Project Associate at the Complex Magnetisation Characterisation Lab (CMCL). There, she worked on artificial spin ice systems, investigating their spin-wave dynamics and the intriguing collective behaviour that arises from geometrical frustration. This project sparked her deep interest in how collective spin excitations can enable information transport without Joule heating. Her current research explores the dynamics of spin waves in magnetic materials, with a focus on their potential for future information technologies. Beyond research, she finds joy in sports, which help her maintain focus and enthusiasm.
