Naveen got his doctoral degree in the area of biophysics from University of Hyderabad, and was a postdoctoral fellow at CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi. His primary research goal is to understand the interactions among genetic, life style and environmental risk factors associated with age-related diseases and thus accelerated ageing, using data-driven approaches. His other research interests include image processing and computational genomics.
