Navya Mendiratta

YIF Class of 2021

B.A.(Honours) Psychology
Ramanujan College, University of Delhi

Navya has been a performer from the mere age of 5 and has found solace on the stage. With no fear or anxiety, Navya feels at home amongst crowds and finds it easy to connect with others. This ease of understanding people led her to pursue an undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology, where she found her true calling of engaging with society. A confident young girl and a feminist at the core, she tries every day to make those around her perceptive of the atrocities that we now face together as humankind and at the same time, establishes a relationship of mutual respect accomodating a free-flowing exchange.
To Navya, listening is as important as sharing, as to her, acquiring knowledge is central to her being. As someone who believes one can never know enough, Navya aims to pursue this curiosity throughout her time.
She feels comfortable in leadership positions, enjoys good conversations, and truly values the integration of diversity. She has worked with several organisations including hospitals and the Government of NCT of Delhi, in order to actively help others. At the Young India Fellowship, Navya brings a spirit of curiosity, wit, optimism, and readiness to perform. Her goal is to find her standing in society, use her privilege to empower others, and become a more accepting and capable individual.
