Nibedita Sarkar is currently involved in instruction and logistics support of undergraduate (UG) laboratories of Biology. She coordinates the undergraduate laboratory courses, demonstrations and instructions. She provides end-to-end infrastructure and logistics support to the departmental laboratory courses for the undergraduates. She is involved in the preparatory work of various lab courses, procurement management plan along with budget handling, inventory management and supports maintenance of undergraduate laboratories. Besides, she conducts Biology Lab Safety Training from time to time. Related to her work, she interacts with Biology faculty members and various departments of the university.
Before joining Ashoka University, she was working as an Assistant Professor (on contract) at Dr. B.R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. She did her PhD in Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. She was awarded as CSIR Research Associate and SERB National Postdoctoral Fellow. She has post doctoral research experience from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and also from CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur (Energy Research Division). During her Postdoctoral tenure she worked as principal investigator under GoI funded projects in waste to bioenergy.
