Oishik displayed a polyvalent breadth of study throughout his undergraduate career – marrying the rigour of Physics and Mathematics with the artistry of English Literature at Vanderbilt University, graduating with three majors and Honours. He then entered the particle physics PhD programme at Texas A&M University, later withdrawing to join the YIF. Additionally, he speaks five languages, has achieved mastery in classical guitar, and has won accolades in debate, elocution, theatre, and writing. Oishik works as an educator, drawing on his experiences with virtual learning and teaching to create engaging hybrid environments for the new breed of online students. Having exhaustively reinforced his academic talents, Oishik seeks to enhance himself at the YIF by focusing on professional skills that translate to the modern workplace, as he transitions from academia to the workforce.
