Omkar Goswami is an economist and business journalist for Business India. He is also the founder and chairperson of the Corporate and Economic Research Group (CERG).
Omkar was the chief economist of the Confederation of Indian Industry for six years. He is the author of several books, including Goras and Desis: Managing Agencies and the Making of Corporate India (2016) and Industry, Trade and Peasant Society: Jute Economy of Eastern India, 1900-47 (1991).
Omkar earned a DPhil from the University of Oxford.
