Oviya Manivannan

Oviya, whose name translates to “painting” in Tamil, has been immersed in art since childhood, embracing various creative forms. Her passion for design sparked during high school, leading her on an exciting path. Throughout her visual communication degree, Oviya embraced internships in healthcare, fashion, food, and travel, exploring impactful branding, commercial design, and social change initiatives. She delved into the rich connections between tradition, culture, and symbolism. Oviya’s undergraduate immersive learning experiences exposed her to diverse socio-economic backgrounds, igniting a desire to merge design with the development sector. Now, she embarks on a transformative journey with YIF, driven to create a meaningful impact. Through the YIF, she aspires to combine her design skills with the social design sector, forging a path towards meaningful change.
