Owen’s research interests focus on the Indian Army during the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. He is interested in the experiences of Indian Soldiers fighting in campaigns outside of the subcontinent. Before coming to Ashoka, he completed his M.A. from Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Prior to that, he completed his B.A. from Emory University. Owen’s home town is Seattle, Washington, USA. When not on campus at Ashoka, you might find him motorcycling through the countryside or hiking in the mountains.
